Account & Sign In

How do I create an account?

AlpsEpics uses Google or Strava sign-in. Open the app or visit app.alpsepics.com and sign in with your existing Google or Strava account. No separate registration is needed.

I can’t sign in

Make sure you are using the same Google or Strava account you originally signed up with. If you signed in with Strava on one device and Google on another, these are separate accounts. Contact us if you need help merging them.

Strava & Data Sync

How does Strava sync work?

When you connect your Strava account, new activities sync automatically via webhook. Historical activities are imported during initial setup. We read but never modify your Strava data.

A ride is missing

Check that your Strava connection is active in app settings. You can also upload FIT files directly from your bike computer (single files or bulk ZIP) or import from TrainingPeaks CSV.

AI Coach

What data does the AI Coach use?

The AI Coach analyzes your complete training history: synced activities, FIT file data, computed metrics (CTL, ATL, TSB, power records, weakness scores), RPE ratings, daily biometrics, and your athlete memory (goals, injuries, preferences). All coaching is based on your real data, not generic templates.

Is my training data shared with anyone?

No. Your training data, coaching conversations, and athlete memory are private. When the AI Coach generates responses, anonymized training metrics are sent to the AI provider — no personally identifiable information is included.

Group Rides

Who can see my location during a ride?

Only confirmed participants of that specific ride can see your live position. Location sharing is active only during the ride and can be disabled at any time.

Does tracking work offline?

Yes. GPS recording, voice notes, photos, and text posts are queued locally and automatically synced when you regain connection. Background location tracking works on both iOS and Android with the app in the background.

Delete Your Account

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time:

Account deletion is permanent and removes all your data within 30 days, including training history, ride data, photos, voice notes, AI Coach conversations, and athlete memory.

App & Technical Issues

The app crashes or behaves unexpectedly

Make sure you are running the latest version. On iOS, update via TestFlight. On Android, download the latest APK from the app page. If the issue persists, email us with your device model and OS version.

GPS tracking is inaccurate

Ensure location permissions are set to “Always Allow” for accurate background tracking. On Android, disable battery optimization for AlpsEpics. GPS accuracy is displayed in the live ride view.
